My love affair with words began before I could write:
From the earliest age, language has been my most constant companion, my way of navigating the world and the thing I could not live without.
As a writer and word artist, I work with words to create a space for people to breathe and come home to themselves. My work is grounding, intuitive, loving, and practical, inviting new perspectives into the lives we live and the connection we all share in being human. I write the words I need to hear, and I share them because I believe if I have experienced something, someone else has, too.
If one person feels a little less alone for having read my work, then I have done my job.
Fun fact: the poems on this site were hand lettered by me!

As an intuitive guide, I work with people to help them understand themselves better and reconnect to their sense of purpose. In my one on one sessions, I share perspective, intuitive insight, and practical tools to help my clients better navigate the world and their place in it.
Those who work with me say their sessions are insightful and grounding, that they feel safe, heard, and understood in the space we create together. If this resonates with you, I would love to work with you! Find out what it’s like to work with me to see if this is something you’d be interested in.
Maia is so knowledgeable about astrology. The short reading she gave was exactly right, and she knew exactly where to direct the conversation and what questions to ask. She is direct but so incredibly kind. I felt like I received the knowledge and direction that I needed to hear at this time. She has the sweetest disposition and you can’t help but open up to her. I had just woken up from a nap and was feeling tired and groggy, but I became a lot more engaged and comfortable opening up throughout the session. Her wisdom comes easily and from the most genuine place.

As an artist and acrobatic storyteller, I work with many disciplines to find the medium to suit the story I am looking to tell. My work is inspired by the beauty and intricacies of life, my relationships and my love of the natural world.
During fourteen years of preparatory training in artistic gymnastics, dance, and the circus arts, I had the opportunity to perform both locally and internationally, in Europe. I then moved to pursue a career in movement, training for one year at the National Circus School before setting off on my own to further explore my body’s language. I have spent the past two years unearthing my body’s language in movement through a variety of classes, intensive training, and improvised exploration.
In the process, I have discovered a vocabulary that plays between textures fluid and staccato, heavy and light. I am intrigued by the power of art in its’ ability to humanize global issues and empower people to act.
I have co-written and performed in three full-length circus productions with Winnipeg’s Momentum Aerial & Acrobatic Troupe. My most recent works were “roots,” a meditative solo, and “blink,” a show that connected people to the threat of climate change and the importance of home.
